Dato’ Thomas Chong, SS

Group Managing Director

Dato’ Thomas Chong, SS  began his engineering career in 1988 after obtaining his Degree of Civil Engineering.  He has been involved in the construction and manufacturing industry for more than 30 years including bridge retrofitting, bridge jacking, heavy-lifting and launching, buildings and highways construction, airports and marine works.   .

Dato’ Thomas leads the engineering product research & development and is currently supervising the research studies of  approximately 5 PhD students under Hercules collaboration with the Universiti Putra Malaysia.  With his research & experience, he has written a 4 technical papers on engineering devices and were presented in a few engineering conferences including the International Association of Bridge & Structural Engineering (IABSE) . Together with 2 other professors, he won 2 Golds in the engineering competitions.

Dato’ Thomas entrepreneurial vision  has brought Hercules flag and more important Hercules products and services to many countries in the world.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Farzad Hejazi

Technical Advisor

Farzad Hejazi is Associate Professor and Research Coordinator at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is also innovation champion in UPM since 2013 and member of the management committee for the Housing Research Center in Faculty of Engineering (UPM).

Since 2011, Prof. Farzad is teaching postgraduate courses for master and PhD students in structural engineering fields and managing and supervising research team consist of 20 PhD students and 8 Master Students and involving with many high impact research and industry projects funded by Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, PlaTCOM Venture Malaysian Government Agency, University Putra Malaysia and industrial companies which led to file more than 15 patents in USA, Japan, Germany, Canada, New Zealand and Malaysia. Four of his patents related to vibration dissipation devices already licensed to industry for mass production and implement in construction projects for the bridges and structures.

Prof. Farzad published 4 Books, more than 100 scientific research papers in high impact journals and presented research papers in several international conferences.

Dr. Mohh Fauzi Hassan

Medical Advisor

HERCULES MEDICARE is managed by Dr. Mohd Fauzi Hassan who has gained his MBBS from the University of Malaya in 1997. With over 20 years of experience as medical practitioner, he has experienced SARS outbreak in 2003.

Dr. Fauzi’s medical clinic is currently also collaborating with QUALITAS Medical Group (appointed by Malaysian Ministry of Health – MOH) in sample taking and transporting the sample to laboratory for further tests and analyse using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Method.

Dato’ Dr. Yusof Aziz

Rubber Technology Advisor

Starting from year 2006 till present, he has been an In-House Rubber Technology Advisor for HERCULES Engineering (SEA) Sdn Bhd for manufacturing of laminated elastomeric bearings, elastomeric expansion joints, marine fenders and all engineering Rubber devices.

He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Rubber Consult Corporation of the Malaysian Rubber Board. His scientific knowledge was recognized in Asia as well as the world. He was the advisor for the Korean Rubber Journal. He also assisted in the International Rubber Conference organization (IRCO).  He won many gold awards for his invention in Malaysia and also in Geneva, Switzerland.  He designed the chemical for the inducement of latex flow in the rubber trees and this is widely used in Malaysia and the Asean countries.  During the period two patents were registered on the blooming of Sulphur in Rubber compounds.
